1. Themes

  • Function: Applies a set of pre-designed colors, fonts, and effects to your presentation for a consistent and visually appealing look.
  • Details: Themes help ensure that all slides have a unified appearance. Each theme typically includes a range of complementary colors and fonts.

Steps:

  1. Click on Design > Themes.
  2. Browse through the available themes in the gallery.
  3. Click on a theme to apply it to your entire presentation.

Options:

  • Theme Variants: Many themes come with several variants that adjust the color schemes while maintaining the overall design. Click on Variants to explore these options.
  • Customize Themes: You can create or modify themes by clicking Customize in the Variants section. This includes changing colors, fonts, effects, and background styles.

2. Variants

  • Function: Provides different color schemes and styles for the currently selected theme.
  • Details: Variants allow you to make subtle adjustments to the appearance of your slides while retaining the main theme’s design.

Steps:

  1. Click on Design > Variants.
  2. Select from the available color and style options. This will update the appearance of your slides based on the chosen variant.

3. Customize

  • Function: Allows you to further personalize your presentation’s design elements beyond the default theme and variants.
  • Details: You can change specific elements like colors, fonts, and effects to better match your branding or preferences.

Steps:

  1. Click on Design > Customize.
  2. Choose Colors to pick a new color scheme, Fonts to select or create custom font combinations, Effects to adjust design effects, or Background Styles to set the background appearance.

4. Transitions: Slide

  • Function: Adds visual effects that occur when moving from one slide to the next.
  • Details: Transitions help add visual interest and can make your presentation more dynamic.

Steps:

  1. Click on Transitions in the Ribbon.
  2. Select a transition effect from the gallery (e.g., Fade, Wipe, Push).
  3. Use the Effect Options button to customize the direction or style of the transition.
  4. Click Apply To All if you want the selected transition effect to apply to every slide in your presentation.

5. Timing

  • Function: Controls how long each transition lasts and how slides advance in your presentation.
  • Details: Adjusting timing ensures your transitions and animations occur smoothly and at the right pace.

  1. In the Transitions tab, find the Timing section.
  2. Adjust the Duration field to set how long the transition effect lasts.
  3. Choose between On Mouse Click or After to specify how the slide advances:
    • On Mouse Click: Advances to the next slide when you click.
    • After: Advances automatically after a specified amount of time.

6. Animations: Add Animation
