How to Add Pages in WordPress
In WordPress, pages are used for static content like "About Us," "Contact," "Services," and "Privacy Policy." Unlike blog posts, pages don’t appear in the blog feed.
1. How to Create a New Page
- Log in to WordPress Dashboard (
yourdomain.com/wp-admin
). - Navigate to Pages > Add New.
- Enter a Page Title (e.g., "About Us").
- Add content using the WordPress Block Editor (text, images, videos, etc.).
- Click Publish to make the page live.
✅ Example Pages to Create:
- Home – The main landing page.
- About Us – Information about your business.
- Contact – A page with a contact form.
- Services – A page listing your offerings.
2. How to Add a Page to the Menu
After creating a page, add it to your navigation menu:
- Go to Appearance > Menus.
- Select the menu where you want the page to appear.
- Check the new page and click "Add to Menu".
- Drag and drop to arrange the menu order.
- Click "Save Menu".
3. Setting a Static Homepage and Blog Page
If you want a separate homepage and blog page:
- Go to Settings > Reading.
- Under “Your homepage displays”, select:
- A static page
- Choose a Homepage and Blog page.
- Click Save Changes.
